Samsung Galaxy Note unofficially available for Php36,400

I know somebody who’s itching to get his hands on the Samsung Galaxy Note. For those who are using the old Samsung Galaxy Tab as their tablet/smartphone, the more handy Galaxy Note is going to be available unofficially on Thursday at Widget City for Php36,400.

The keyword here is unofficial. Your device will not qualify for official support from Samsung service centers even if it already becomes available in the market (serial not registered in the country). Widget City however offers 1 year service warranty from their shop.

Anyway, at Php36,400 it’s higher than the Samsung Galaxy SII or the Galaxy Tab 10.1 when they first came out but I guess nothing is expensive for those who can’t wait. We don’t have any word yet from Samsung Philippines when the Galaxy Note will be available here.

Just to recap, the Galaxy Note is a 5.3-inch Android Gingerbread device with a stylus (hence “Note”) they call the S Pen. It has a Super AMOLED Plus 800 x 1280 display on Gorilla Glass and is powered by a dual-core 1.4GHz Exynos chip. The Galaxy Note is also HSPA+ capable and has an 8-megapixel camera to boot.

Samsung Rilis Tablet Terbaru Galaxy Tab 7.7

In a trade show IFA in Berlin, Germany, on Thursday (01/09/2011), Samsung announced a new Android tablets, Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7.

Samsung's latest device is using the latest Android platform 3.2 (Honeycomb) with a size of 7.7 inches and Super AMOLED WXGA display, dual-core processor 1.4 GHz, the memory capacity of 16/32/64 GB (can be expanded further with the memory card microSD), and a 3 megapixel and 2 megapixel camera.

Various multimedia applications in Samsung's latest tablet allows you to watch 1080p HD video with all its sophistication.

This device can also be changed into a universal remote control, which allows users to control a TV, DVD player, and Blu-ray player.

Samsung has not released pricing or the exact date of the latest products available on the market

Samsung has pulled smartphones

Samsung has pulled smartphones and tablet products on the largest electronics exhibition in Berlin, IFA, which took place on 2 to 7 September 2011.

Ni-related product recall lawsuit that Apple was granted a court Dusserdorf on Friday (09/02/2011). Court ruling banning the sale of Samsung in Germany.

Apple claims, Samsung has infringed the design patent, the look and feel of Apple's iPhone to Samsung S Galaxy, and to IPAD devices Galaxy Tab. Both companies have struggled in the realm of law in various countries, such as the United States, South Korea, and Australia since April 2011.

So not withstanding the fact that you will probably look a total tool whipping out your Tag Heuer bling to answer a call from your mum, and you have decided that the $30,000 Apple phone is too crass and expensive, how much are you prepared to pay for the Tag Heuer mobile piece?

Well you will not get much change from £4500 as it is currently selling for €4700 or $6700.

Apples select club coming to an end?

With Apple due to release a budget priced iPhone, if rumours are to be believed. Then perhaps Tag Heuer are on to something in keeping the rich club happy by being all exclusive.

So what do you actually get for you money?

Quite simply a fully working Android based mobile smartphone that has a pretty ugly looking skin. This skin comes in a variety of flavours with options ranging from steel, rose gold, and titanium all topped off with leather, alligator or lizard skin, rubber and the usual gorilla glass making sure the phone is up to scratch or rather lack of scratches.

You get an out of date Android 2.2 O/S, a humble 3.5-inch (800 x 480) display, a pretty poor 5 megapixel autofocus camera, a tiny 256MB internal memory, a small 8GB memory card, 1400 mAh battery, and EDGE / HSUPA connectivity.

The phone is however built like a brick s***house as most of Tag’s watches are, and has the ability to transform into a yacht, blunderbuss and submarine perfect for holiday adventures in the Caribbean and the Indian sub-continent when trying to look great, feel safe and have a convenient means of killing wild prey are at a premium.

Samsung loves a budget phone, and more to the point, it loves spewing out loads of them on Android. Not content with the Galaxy Ace, it's also brought the Galaxy Mini, Fit and Gio to the party, complete with budget stylings.
